On the first of June, they finally announced the Youtube App for PS Vita on the PlayStation Blog. It will be released as a free download on the PlayStation Store at the end of June.
Now, thanks to a PlayStation Network member on the PlayStation forums named Yorky, I have been able to download Youtube videos to the Vita’s video player. It actually is useful, unlike a lot of posts, because you don’t have to have anything except for your Vita and some wif-fi. Other places suggested using Remote Play to remotely use your PS3 to watch videos on the Vita, but if my PS3 wasn’t in storage, I’d just be using that instead. Here’s the link to the forum post.
Now, I’m sure the Youtube App will be a lot easier to use and possibly faster, plus I won’t have to worry about deleting videos so I can free up drive space for more. I’ll be awaiting that, but I’m content for now.
